Olives are here at Queen Victoria Market.
I was chatting to Gus in A-shed and he has give me a no fuss easy way to prepare these. Water just salty enough that a fresh egg floats, garlic, chilli, and rosemary.
Whack it all in a jar, wait at least three weeks and you are on! How easy is that?
It saves on the fuss of changing water, and it results in delicious salty olives, just how I like them.
Don't be afraid to ask the traders for advice. They have been selling their produce for decades, and you can bet they know what to do with it! Get down to the market and get busy jarring your own olives!
